The Palace sits on five acres of sublime nature and tranquility with a private golden sand beach, and   was built in the 16th century for the family of the current prince and was used as a hunting lodge fort wild boar and shoot quail on the extensive estates surrounding the Palace. The Prince, who still lives in a private wing of the Palace, has converted part of this unique 16th century building into beautiful, spacious suites, without altering the original features of the Palace.

Access to the private sandy beach is only a short walk through the Palace gardens. A small flight of stairs leads directly onto the beach, where guests will find deckchairs and umbrellas provided.

The magnificent swimming pool, with private changing rooms and showers, is situated within the gardens. Spacious terraces, where bougainvillea's and honeysuckle's cascade from ancient walls, offer ample room and privacy.  Deckchairs and comfortable sun beds with large umbrellas give shade when needed as do the many cypress trees.  Lunch and drinks at the bar can be enjoyed near the pool. The Palace’s vegetable garden provides fresh ingredients for regional dishes served daily.

Many of the rooms have vaulted ceilings, some have private terraces, and all are very well appointed.  The 18 suites are situated on the first and second floor of three wings of the main palace, as well as in a charming 18th century building reached through the Palace courtyard.  Some suites overlook the gardens of the Palace and the sea, others the impressive flower-filled and scented inner courtyard.  The five acres of grounds and gardens are full of pine tree, roses, oleander, jasmine and magnolias.

The Palace offers an unforgettable experience in beautiful surroundings where guests can enjoy peace and quiet in a holistic environment of nature, luxury and history.
