Santavenere sits on an idyllic 11 acre peninsula - it is without question one of the most beautiful venues for a wedding not just in Italy, but anywhere.

The sea is blue, perfectly blue, the coastal views are second  to none.  On the mountains above the hotel sits the historic town of Maratea and above that perches the famous statue of Christ the redeemer. 

It is so perfect with absolute privacy,  it was once Frank Sinatra's "Italian hideaway".

Ceremonies can be at the idyllic Santavenere cove,  on its perfect lawn or on an Italian ceramic patio high above the sea with coastal views to die for - see photo to the side.

Receptions can also be held  in the cove or on the patio.

Notes

Santavenere - Wedding Ceremonies &  Receptions
  • Wedding Receptions at the Santavenere can be held in one of two restaurants - La Terrazza  (May - October) and Il Carrubo Beach Restaurant. (June - October)  Click here for restaurants

  • Ceremony/Receptions during the month of May can Only be at the top of the hotel and La Terrazza Restaurant which is in the main hotel building.  La Terrazza has stunning views of the sea and gorgeous turquoise tiles overlooking plush gardens. Note:  Weddings of 20 or less people must always be at La Terrazza. 

  • Ceremony/Receptions can be held at Il Carrubo Beach Restaurant - . (weather permitting) from June 1st through beginning of October (Dinner receptions only) -   Il Carrubo Beach Restaurant is on the edge of the sea.   Note:  It is not available for small weddings  - Minimum is 20 people.    

  • The hotel does not offer weddings in the first three weeks of August.

  • Menus are not in price order

 

  • Menus can be changed -  prices may be impacted

 

  • All menus include wine (half bottle per person), mineral water, and coffee. 

 

  • No wedding cakes can be brought in from the outside

 

  • The aperitivo (aperitif)  that is included in the menus below takes place directly after the wedding ceremony.  This saves the cost of having an additional "champagne" ceremony immediately after the ceremony.
