  • Anelli - "rings" Small ring shaped pasta often found in soups or salads.

  • Bucatini- "small cave" Long macaroni with a small hole.

  • Capelli d'Angelo - "angel's hair" Delicate thin threads of pasta.

  • Ditalini- "little thimbles" Small tubular macaroni cut very short and often used in soups.

  • Fafalle- "butterflies" Pasta shaped like bowties or butterflies with fluted edges.

  • Fettucini- "small ribbons" Pasta shaped like ribbons.

  • Fusilli - "twisted spaghetti" Long strands of spiraled spaghetti, corkscrew shaped.
